January 2025 Newsletter: New Year, New Skills

January 1, 2025 · 9 min read

Happy New Year from the entire Facial Injectables team! January is more than just the start of a new calendar. For aesthetic practitioners, it represents the busiest season of the year. Patients who received holiday gift cards are booking appointments, new year's resolution clients are seeking rejuvenation treatments, and the spring social calendar is driving demand for look-your-best appointments. It is the perfect time to ensure your skills are sharp, your service menu is current, and your practice is positioned for a strong 2025.

Setting Your 2025 Training Goals

The practitioners who achieve the most in any given year are those who start with a plan. Rather than approaching training reactively, taking courses when they happen to see a promotion or when a gap in their schedule opens up, top performers set deliberate learning objectives at the start of each year and schedule their training accordingly.

We recommend a simple framework for setting your 2025 training goals. Start by auditing your current skills. What services do you offer confidently? Where do you feel less certain? What treatments have patients asked about that you do not currently provide? Then identify one to three new capabilities you want to develop this year. For each, map out the specific courses required, the timeline for completion, and the target date for integrating the new service into your practice.

For practitioners just entering aesthetics, a realistic 2025 goal might be completing Botox certification in Q1, dermal filler training in Q2, and offering both services independently by Q3. For experienced injectors, the goal might be mastering PDO thread lifts, attending a cadaver lab for advanced anatomy study, or completing a business development course to scale their practice.

Whatever your goals, write them down and share them with an accountability partner, whether that is a colleague, a mentor, or a peer in our member community. Goals that are documented and shared are significantly more likely to be achieved than those that remain unspoken intentions.

Early Enrollment Discounts

To support your 2025 training ambitions, we are extending our early enrollment promotion through January 31. Practitioners who register for any Q1 or Q2 course by the end of January receive a 20 percent discount on registration fees. For members, this discount stacks with your existing membership pricing, making it the most cost-effective time of the year to lock in your training schedule.

Early enrollment also ensures your spot in courses that fill quickly. Our Lip Filler Certification and Advanced Botox & Filler Training courses consistently reach capacity four to six weeks before the training date, particularly at our most popular locations. Registering now guarantees your seat and gives you time to prepare by completing prerequisite online modules before the live session.

To take advantage of the early enrollment discount, register through your member portal or contact our enrollment team directly. The discount applies automatically for members; non-members can use the code NEWYEAR25 at checkout.

New Course Announcements for 2025

We are launching several new training programs in 2025, each developed in response to market demand and advances in aesthetic technique.

Complication Management Intensive (launching February): A dedicated one-day course focused entirely on recognizing, managing, and resolving injectable complications. Topics include vascular occlusion identification and hyaluronidase protocols, granuloma management, asymmetry correction, migration and displacement issues, and managing patient communication during adverse events. This course is recommended for all injectors regardless of experience level, because complications do not discriminate based on skill.

Male Aesthetics Certification (launching March): The male aesthetic patient represents the fastest-growing demographic in injectable treatments, yet most training programs focus exclusively on female facial anatomy and treatment goals. This course covers male-specific anatomy, masculine treatment objectives, dosing adjustments, the male patient consultation, and marketing to male patients without alienating female clientele.

Regenerative Aesthetics Workshop (launching April): As the field moves beyond filler-based volume restoration toward biostimulation and regeneration, this workshop covers platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) for skin rejuvenation, exosome therapy, polynucleotide treatments, and the emerging science of skin quality improvement through biological stimulation rather than mechanical augmentation.

Advanced Cadaver Lab Series (launching May): An intensive two-day program using fresh tissue cadaveric specimens for detailed facial anatomy study. Participants will dissect the facial layers, identify critical vascular and neural structures, practice injection techniques in a true anatomical context, and gain the three-dimensional understanding that no model or diagram can replicate. Limited to 12 participants per session for maximum hands-on time.

Instructor Spotlights

We are thrilled to introduce two new additions to our faculty for 2025.

Dr. Amanda Torres, MD, FACS joins our team as lead faculty for the Advanced Cadaver Lab Series. Dr. Torres is a board-certified plastic surgeon with a fellowship in craniofacial surgery and over 15 years of experience in both surgical and non-surgical facial aesthetics. She has published extensively on facial anatomy and injection safety and has a gift for translating complex anatomical concepts into practical clinical guidance. Her cadaver lab sessions at other institutions have consistently received the highest participant satisfaction scores.

Michael Chang, NP-C joins as a core instructor for our Botox certification and advanced neurotoxin programs. Michael brings 12 years of injectable experience and a unique perspective as an advanced practice provider who built a multi-million-dollar medical spa from scratch. His practical, business-minded approach to training resonates particularly well with nurse practitioners and physician assistants who aspire to combine clinical excellence with entrepreneurial ambition.

2025 Training Locations

Our 2025 training calendar spans 17 cities across the United States. Core locations offering the full course catalog include New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, and Scottsdale. Regional locations offering select courses include Boston, Philadelphia, Nashville, Austin, Denver, Seattle, San Francisco, Charlotte, Portland, and Washington, DC.

New for 2025, we are adding Charlotte and Portland as permanent training locations. Charlotte has emerged as a hub for aesthetic practice growth in the Southeast, and Portland's strong base of nurse practitioners and naturopathic physicians represents an underserved market for quality injectable training.
